How do I attach a purchase to a plugin

Require users to complete an in-app purchase or subscription before accessing a plugin.

After creating in-app purchases in the Buildfire Control Panel and configuring them in Apple App Store Connect or Google Play Console, you must attach the purchase to a plugin. This controls where and how users are prompted to purchase before accessing gated content in your app.

Once enabled, users must complete the selected purchase before accessing the plugin.


Requirement

  • Availability of in-app purchases depends on your account configuration. If you don’t see this option in your Control Panel, contact your account administrator.

  • Your Apple App Store and Google Play developer accounts must be set up for in-app purchases

  • The purchase must already exist in the Control Panel

  • Adding a new purchase requires the app to be resubmitted to the app stores


How do I attach a purchase to a plugin?

  1. Log in, go to Builder in the left navigation

  2. Open the plugin you want to restrict with a purchase

  3. Click the Purchase tab

  4. Turn on Require Purchase

  5. Choose your purchase type:

    • Single Purchase for consumable or non-consumable products

    • Subscription for recurring access

  6. Select the purchase you want to attach

  7. Upload an image to display on the purchase screen

  8. Enter the purchase description that users will see before checkout

  9. Customize the success and failure messages

  10. Click Save
